Opening a Practice: The 12-Week Brand Checklist

The branding, media, and acquisition milestones that need to be done before your doors open — sequenced week by week.

Most new practices open with the construction finished and the marketing unfinished. The result is a beautiful office with an empty schedule for the first two quarters.

Weeks 1–4: Name, Identity, and Voice

Lock the name, logo system, color and type palette, and the way the practice speaks. Every later decision — signage, scrubs, website, ads — inherits from this work, so changing it late is expensive.

Weeks 5–8: Website and Listings

  • Build the site around booking, not brochure copy.
  • Claim and complete your Google Business Profile early.
  • Set up call tracking and form routing before spend starts.

Weeks 9–12: Media and Demand

Shoot the space once construction dust settles, then launch a pre-open campaign so week one has patients in chairs rather than a ribbon and an empty waiting room.
